same same but different......

Thats the name of a restaurant we found while paddling in a kayak along the coast this morning...... what did you guys do this morning ?
Just a quiet one for day 3 - after breakfast we jumped in a two man kayak & spent an hour paddling up & down the coast.
Then we had a quick dip in the pool & headed off for a one hour foot massage.  After the stress of that process we had to have a swim in pool No2 & some lunch - handmade salami pizza & seafood salad that had lobster thrown thru it.  (you can see from the picture Mel was not quite coping)

Mel then donned her Mrs Hobbs persona to stalk the wedding that was taking place at the resort.  They were an Irish couple who's entourage were not quite used to the local conditions.  The poor groom was completly drenched in sweat by the time the lass got to the altar.  Check out the bridal party - they nearly outnumbered the guests.

After that excitement we were joined  by a swiss couple we met on the launch a few days earlier for drinks - Margaret & Otmar.  Very nice folk who had been to Thailand 20 times & Pimalai 3 times. They are both in their 50's & instead of having children - worked hard & travelled each year to some exotic location - they both looked 10 years younger then their age & were great company.  Was a great sales job on Mel & I to enjoy the next few years travelling for a few weeks each year - sorry David.

Same same but different was a great spot for dinner - very authentic food & a great atmosphere - Margaret & Otmar were excellent company & had some wonderful travel stories & good advice for Bangkok - we will not doubt be seeing more of them on this trip.  The structure below was how you found the restaurant from the beach.

Well - another day done... not much planned for tomorrow....  maybe take the kobi cat out for a run & hang by the pool for a bit sipping cocktails & taking a dip when required.
Life runs by a very different clock over here !
